Zl. Wang et al., THE TIME-DEPENDENT MOMENTS AND CORRELATION-FUNCTIONS OF THE INTENSITYOF A SINGLE-MODE DYE-LASER, Communications in Theoretical Physics, 24(1), 1995, pp. 27-36
By combining linear approximation with Novikov theorem we derive first
the time-dependent moments of laser intensity for colored saturation
loss-noise, colored gain-noise and colored loss-noise models of a sing
le-mode dye laser. We analyze and compare the time-evolution character
of time-dependent moments of laser intensity for three models. The in
tensity correlation functions and correlation time for the colored sat
uration loss-noise model are derived and compared to the corresponding
quantities for colored gain-noise and colored loss-noise models. We s
how that, due to saturation effects in the considered laser model, the
effect of which the correlation time of the noise hides the differenc
es between the intensity correlation functions of the models is weaken
ed. It can be seen from the evolution curves of the intensity correlat
ion time versus the pump parameter that the dye laser exists critical
slowing-down.
