Abstract
The authors present a simple logic circuit for controlling the commuta tion procedure of a matrix converter. The three-phase PWM voltage sign als and the current direction are input variables. The logic circuit d etermines the necessary four transitional switching patterns to Follow in each phase and generates them sequentially. It produces accurate o utputs under any input signal combination with a structure that is sim ple, requiring only a few logic gates.
