Abstract
CW operation of regrown-lens-train (RLT) unstable resonator semiconduc tor lasers has been demonstrated in an improved laser design. Up to 1. 5W of coherent CW power was obtained with a beam divergence 4 times th at of a perfectly dittraction limited device.
