Wj. Sarjeant et al., ENERGY-STORAGE CAPACITORS - AGING, AND DIAGNOSTIC APPROACHES FOR LIFEVALIDATION, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 33(1), 1997, pp. 501-506
Over the last decade, significant increases in capacitor reliability h
ave been achieved through a combination of advanced manufacturing tech
niques, new materials, and diagnostic methodologies to provide requisi
te life-cycle reliability for high energy pulse applications. Recent i
nnovations in analysis of aging, including dimensional analysis, are i
ntroduced for predicting component performance and fault tolerance In
addition, voltage scaling issues that may drive bank fault-tolerance p
erformance are described.
