Abstract
The ADS 1000 Veterinary Delivery System and Critical Care Ventilator w as tested during the anesthesia of 100 clinical patients: 87 dogs and 13 cats. Simple handling and available control functions simplified an esthesia and patient monitoring. The minute volume per kilogram of bod y weight was an especially reliable ventilation guide line. The author s conclude that this ventilator provides excellent anesthetic safety d uring small animal surgery.
