Abstract
A two-level system was used in a computer simulation of a transient co ncurrent interaction of two optical pulses of duration not exceeding t he VT relaxation time. The interaction was assumed to take place in a resonantly absorbing gas and the case with feedback was considered. A study was made of the influence of the detuning of the laser radiation frequency from the centre of an absorption line on the dynamics of th e light-induced perturbation of the absorbance and on energy exchange between the two waves.
