Abstract
Two Ansatze concerning Krichever curves are considered for solutions e lliptic in x of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation and the Korteweg-de Vries equation. An example is given of a new two-gap elliptic solutio n of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation.
