A new technique for the implementation of programmable undamped natura
l frequency (omega(n)) and quality factor (Q) MOSFET-C filters is intr
oduced. The technique employs nonlinear circuits in the feedback path
of the filter allowing the tuning of Q through DC control voltages. Th
e resulting topology is fully compatible with MOS technology. The natu
ral frequency of the filter is also tunable via DC voltage-controlled
transconductance elements. The application of this technique to the Ke
rwin-Huelsman-Newcomb filter is presented together with simulation res
ults.
