C. Domingo et al., GASTROINTESTINAL HEMORRHAGE AND HEMOPERIT ONEUM AS A COMPLICATION OF VISCERAL ANEURYSMS, Revista espanola de enfermedades digestivas, 87(8), 1995, pp. 601-604
Two cases of visceral aneurysm are reported, one of the splenic artery
and another of the gastroepiploic artery. The reason for the publicat
ion is the rarity, especially of aneurysms of the gastroepiploic arter
y, and because of the unusual presentations as upper gastrointestinal
hemorrhage and hemoperitoneum respectively. The splenic artery aneurys
m was diagnosed by CAT scan and the gastroepiploic one during emergenc
y laparotomy because of the hemodynamic disturbance.
