Abstract
A method has been developed for the synthesis of a graft copolymer of cellulose and poly-N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride, which ca n be implemented as a continuous process. The graft polymerization of N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride has certain specific feature s that contrast to the graft polymerization of vinyl monomers containi ng quaternary ammonium groups. Ways have been found to improve the deg ree of utilization of N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride.
