The problem of electron-electron scattering is solved using the Boltzm
ann equation and a special set of basis functions. This basis treats d
ifferent scattering mechanisms on the same footing. Corrections beyond
the level of Matthiessen's rule are easily generated. The resulting B
oltzmann equation has a simple tridiagonal form for Coulomb scattering
, and values of transport properties converge rapidly. Results for ele
ctrical and thermal conductivity, the Lorentz number, and the Hall coe
fficient are presented.
