Abstract
Photodynamic therapy is an investigational treatment of various types of carcinoma. It involves a photosensitizing agent which, when exposed to light of the proper wavelength, forms toxic oxygen radicals that r esult in cell death. This article describes its current use in the man agement of bronchogenic carcinoma.
