Abstract
Medical thoracoscopy is primarily used in the diagnosis of pleural dis eases and pleurodesis. It is described as the diagnostic and therapeut ic exploration of the pleural cavity performed after an artificial pne umothorax. This article focuses on medical thoracoscopy and the role o f a chest physician in clinical practice.
