Dt. Khoa et Gr. Satchler, REALISTIC SCENARIO FOR THE QUASI-ELASTIC SCATTERING OF LI-11,C-11-12 AT E(C)A-SIMILAR-OR-EQUAL-TO-60 MEV/, Physics letters. Section B, 358(1-2), 1995, pp. 14-20
The elastic Li-11, C-11+C-12 scattering at E/A similar or equal to 60
MeV has been studied using a semimicroscopic version of the optical mo
del. The real optical potential was calculated within the double-foldi
ng model using a realistic nucleon-nucleon effective interaction and a
more accurate treatment of the knock-on exchange. A Hartree-Fock dens
ity was taken for Li-11, while the shell model was used for C-11,C-12.
The imaginary potential was taken in standard Woods-Saxon form, The d
ynamic polarization potential due to the breakup effect, based on the
results of realistic four-body calculations of the Li-11+C-12 scatteri
ng, has been added to both the real and imaginary potentials for Li-11
. From different assumptions about the absorptive strength at the surf
ace region, we found a set of parameters which give a reasonable descr
iption of the quasielastic Li-11,C-11+C-12 scattering data at E/A simi
lar or equal to 60 MeV as well as reproducing the observed trend for t
he total reaction cross section at higher energies.
