Abstract
Chemical study of the leaves and stem bark of Ervatamia peduncularis a fforded two novel bisindole alkaloids, pedunculine and peduncularidine , together with seven known alkaloids, coronaridine, coronaridine hydr oxyindolenine, eglandine, heyneanine, eglandulosine, heyneanine hydrox yindolenine and N(1)-methyl-aspidospermidine. Structural elucidation o f the new alkaloids was based on their spectral data.
