Abstract
Dowex(R) resin (H+ form) is a convenient reagent for detritylation of 5'O-DMT-oligonucleotides. With Dowex, detritylation is rapid and quant itative compared to that with acetic acid. As the liberated dimethoxyt rityl species remain bonded to the resin, further processing of oligon ucleotides is simplified.
