Abstract
The ideal g-on gas, a particle with fractional exclusion statistics, i s considered. We give a method to calculate the character formula from a recurrence relation. The character for arbitrary exclusion statisti cs is explicitly calculated. By assuming the validity of the conformal field theory, the effective central charge and the particle-hole dual ity are discussed.
