Various diisopropyl 1,1-dichloroalkylphosphonates were easily and rapi
dly prepared under mild conditions, by electrolysing, in DMF medium, d
iisopropyl trichloromethylphosphonate in the presence of alkylating re
agents. The use of an electrochemical activated magnesium anode signif
icantly improved the rate and the yield of the reaction.
