Ac. Gonzalez et Re. Parra, FERROMAGNETIC CRITICAL-TEMPERATURES IN DILUTE PDMN ALLOYS, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 149(3), 1995, pp. 341-344
Experimental measurements on dilute PdMn alloys have been analyzed wit
h a local environment model of ferromagnetic interactions. We used the
Monte Carlo simulation method to calculate the critical temperatures
in these alloys and the results were compared with experimental data.
A fitting for the bare Mn atom moment, using the experimental and calc
ulated critical temperatures, and the moment of magnetization clouds g
ave us a mu(Mn) = (5.04 +/- 0.60)mu(B). The size of the magnetization
cloud, mu(cloud), obtained with magnetization measurements, is about 5
0% larger than mu(Mn). The relation between mu(Mn) and mu(cloud) is re
sponsible for the size of the critical temperatures of ferromagnetism,
about ten times lower than in PdFe and PdCo alloys.
