Gg. Cook et Sk. Khamas, VARIATION OF EFFICIENCIES OF PRINTED ANTENNAS USING SCREENED LOCALIZED STATIC MAGNETIC-FIELDS, Electronics Letters, 31(19), 1995, pp. 1700-1702
The variation of HTS conductivity with static B field is used to modul
ate the efficiencies of printed HTS loop antennas at 1 GHz. The genera
tion of the necessary high magnetic flux densities is made more practi
cal by only requiring that a fraction of the circumference of a loop i
s subjected to the B field, thereby enabling the use of much smaller s
olenoids which could also benefit from the antenna cooling, RF screeni
ng is provided by placing the solenoids behind the groundplanes, and i
t is suggested that the idea presented hers could be extrapolated to p
roduce stealthy or adaptive printed arrays.
