Abstract
The crude alkaloid of Fritillaria ebeiensis G. D. Yu et G. Q. Ji, admi nistrated orally at a given dose, showed strong antitumour activity in inhibiting the growth of the solid type of hepatoma in mice. Chemical studies revealed that the active principles in this crude drug were v erticine, verticinone and ebeiedine obtained from this species for the first time. This paper deals with the isolation and activity of these principles.
