Abstract
The cyclic-nucleotide gated channel (CNG channel) of the rod outer seg ment of the retina (ROS) has its closed conformation stabilized by nic otine. Calcium and cGMP influence the K-i of the channel current to ni cotine. Calcium lowers the K-i and cGMP increases it, giving a range o f K-i between 10(-11) and 10(-8) M. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
