REIMAGE SOFTWARE PACKAGE FOR IMPROVING IMAGE-RESOLUTION IN PROCESSINGEXPERIMENTAL-DATA AND RETRIEVING THE INSTRUMENTAL FUNCTION

The paper describes a software package for improving by an order of ma gnitude the resolution of two-dimensional images blurred and distorted by diffraction, nonideal parameters of the detectors and measuring de vices, etc. Given the resulting instrumental function, the images are reconstructed using Bochek's method. Both coordinate-invariant and non invariant instrumental functions may be either point-spread or wide-ap erture. A method for deriving the instrumental function and the origin al (ideal) pattern has been proposed when the instrumental function de pends on one unknown parameter (such as FWHM).
