Abstract
Correcting abnormalities in the lipid profile is beneficial in reducin g the risk of myocardial infarction. Recent studies indicate an enhanc ed effect using a combination of a statin and a fibrate. This prelimin ary report describes four cases where improved lipid profile and serum fibrinogen levels were found following combined therapy with ciprofib rate and fluvastatin. Further studies appear to be warranted.
