Abstract
Priapism is a recognised side effect of the antidepressant drug, trazo done. In the following case we report an apparent hyper-intolerance to a single dose of trazodone which resulted in prolonged (almost 48 hou rs) priapism despite aggressive surgical and pharmacological intervent ion. Although rare, the risk of such a reaction should be borne in min d when Prescribing trazodone.
