We study the hypersonic shock-flat plate boundary layer interaction. T
he boundary layer separation was detected. Its length is an increasing
function of the Reynolds number at the interaction point (Re-X1). Dow
nstream of the interaction, crossfluctuations of hat fluxes at the wal
l were observed; their amplitudes remain constant in terms of Re-X1; t
heir average wavelength is invariant.
