Abstract
The corrosion protection characteristic of butyl titanate, epoxy polya mide and Cashew Nut Shell Liquid-based zinc-rich paints has been studi ed by taking measurements at different temperatures and time intervals of galvanic current, potential and impedance at 3% sodium chloride so lution. The independent cathodic and barrier mechanisms of corrosion p rotection afforded by these paints has been distinguished. The scannin g electron microscope studies also support the protective action of th e butyl titanate-based zinc-rich paint that arises from thw wetting of the zinc particles by this binder.
