Abstract
Five novel amidate crown ethers were designed and synthesized. The str uctures of all the compounds synthesized are characterized by elementa ry analysis, IR, MS and H-1 NMR spectroscopy. The liquid crystal prope rties of three compounds 4-6 have been characterized by DSC.
