Abstract
The paper presents the research performed by the autors in the di-n-bu tylglutarate catalytic hydrogenation to get 1,5-pentanediol, The hydro genation took place at temperatures ranging 275-300 degrees C and pres sures of 140-300 at, using palladium deposited on Kieselghur and coppe r chromite. The copper chromite is found to be an efficient catalyst, getting conversions of up to 90%.
