Abstract
Photolysis of an aryl aide embedded in a m-phenylene-bridged p-tert-bu tylcalix[6]arene 2 results in the formation of unusual reaction produc ts 3 and 4 via the transannular addition reaction of an initially form ed nitrene intermediate; the molecular structure of 4 was determined b y X-ray crystallographic analysis.
