Hj. Graf et Hm. Issel, A NEW EVALUATION OF DITHIOPHOSPHATES CONC ERNING ACCELERATORS UNABLE TO FORM N-NITROSAMINES, Kautschuk und Gummi, Kunststoffe, 48(9), 1995, pp. 600-605
N-nitrosamine free vulcanization becomes a topic of growing interest w
ith increasing demands for working place health care. The introduction
of dithiophosphates in rubber chemistry offers an interesting alterna
tive to classical accelerators concerning technological, economical an
d toxicological aspects; dithio-phosphates are unable to form N-nitros
amines, The presented systems give examples for optimized mixtures bas
ed mainly on dithiophosphates and exhibit a comparable physical proper
ty set to conventional systems. The design of blooming free curing sys
tems for EPDM via dithiophosphates proves to be a technological advant
age of these systems.
