Abstract
In connection with our interest in the reactions of the oxidized dimer of 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-one ('pyrazolone blue') the crysta l structure of one of the products formed in the reaction between 'pyr azolone blue' and diazomethane has been determined.(1,2) The synthesis , reaction mechanism, and spectroscopic data have been published separ ately.(2)
