Abstract
The effects of P deprivation on the two-dimensional electrophoretic pa tterns of soluble proteins were evaluated in maize (Zea mays L.) leave s. P deprivation resulted in decreases in the relative abundance of 11 of more than 450 polypeptides and increases in that of 18 polypeptide s. These changes are discussed in relation to leaf senescence.
