Abstract
The crystal structure of dispiro(fluorene-9,4'-[1,3]dithiolane-5' 9 '' -fluorene), C27H18S2, is reported. The C4-C5 bond connecting the two f luorenyl groups is 1.580(4) Angstrom, which is slightly longer than th e C-C bond lengths [1.36-1.49 Angstrom] in other 1,3-dithiolanes.
