Abstract
The planar thiazole ring of the title compound, C13H9NOS, makes an ang le of 1.39(7)degrees with the benzene plane. The phenyl ring is not co planar with the benzothiazole moiety; the dihedral angle between the t hiazole and phenyl rings is 18.49(6)degrees.
