Abstract
The structure of the title compound, C34H33BrO4, determined using dire ct methods and refined including the anomalous scattering from the Br atoms, shows that the absolute configuration at the C14 atom is R. Hig h displacement parameters of several C atoms indicate conformational d isorder of the saturated ring in the tetramethyltetrahydronaphthyl gro up. The packing of the molecules is stabilized by van der Waal's force s.
