Abstract
The local-probe nature of exchange scattering and Abrikosov-Gor'kov pa ir-breaking by magnetic impurities in (rare-earth)Ba2Cu3O7, La2-betaSr betaCuO4, and Nd2-zCezCuO4 indicates that high-temperature superconduc tivity is rooted in the vicinity of dopant oxygen, not in cuprate plan es.
