ON A CONSEQUENCE OF THE YOUNG-RUBINOWICZ MODEL OF DIFFRACTION PHENOMENA IN HOLOGRAPHY

Imaging properties of a recorded near-held diffraction are predicted o n the basis of Young's interpretation of diffraction phenomena Physica l adequacy of the approach of Young-Rubinowicz is justified experiment ally by a reconstruction of holographic images from diffraction patter ns It is shown that Young's holography proposed here is an efficient m ethod of contour imaging.
