Abstract
A review of the application of aperture synthesis to acoustics is pres ented. Attention is paid to references that elaborated the method of a coustical aperture synthesis in the coherent field, and investigated a coustical properties of the deep ocean bottom and of the shallow sea b ottom. A review of the application of aperture synthesis to the cohere nt field method for the explanation of the binaural hearing mechanism is also given.
