Abstract
Chlamydomonas flagella contain as many as II different dynein heavy ch ains, three in the outer arm and eight in the inner. Several lines of evidence suggest that these different dyneins are functionally diverse . This diversity may be important for the generation of axonemal undul ating movement. (C) 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
