Fine needle aspiration biopsy is an extremely useful procedure for the
diagnosis of germ cell tumors. Most of the subtypes can be easily, re
cognized and differentiated from other subtypes. For difficult cases c
linical pathologic correlation may be extremely helpful in establishin
g a precise diagnosis. Mixed germ cell tumors may cause some difficult
y if one of the components is predominant. Immunohistochemistry may al
