The third-stage larvae of Rhabditis (Pelodera) orbitalis Sudhaus et Sc
hulte, 1986 (Nematoda: R h a b d i t i d a e) were found prasitizing e
ye orbit of Chionomys nivalis Martins, 1842 (Rodentia: A r v i c o l i
d a e) in Spain. This is the first report of the R. (P.) orbitalis oc
currence on the Iberian Peninsula and of the rodent C. nivalis as its
host species in the North Hemisphere.
