J. Klima et al., SONOELECTROCHEMISTRY - THE EFFECT OF ULTR ASOUND ON VOLTAMMETRIC MEASUREMENTS AT A SOLID ELECTRODE, Chemicke listy, 89(9), 1995, pp. 587-589
Experimental arrangement suitable for studies of the influence of ultr
asound on electrochemical processes is described. Its application is i
llustrated with an example of studies of influence of ultrasound on vo
ltammetric curves of reduction of methylviologen in acetonitrile. The
voltammograms recorded at a stacionary electrode present a sigmoidal s
hape of average current with strong current oscillations whose relativ
e amplitude is larger at a small electrode (diameter 0.2 mm(2)) than a
t a larger one (area 16 mm(2)). The shape of the curves including the
individual pulses is explained elsewhere.
