Abstract
Tetra Europe has now completed a comprehensive filter replacement prog ramme for Severn Trent Water at the Hinckley sewage treatment plant in Leicestershire, UK. The project has already produced impressive resul ts, and the company considers it an excellent illustration of the adap tability of its filter technology, enabling new filters to be successf ully installed in an existing facility with minimal investment in new civil works. Here Howard Rundle, technical manager and Julie Trafford, process specialist at Tetra Europe Ltd, describe the company's deep-b ed filter technology at the heart of the Hinckley retrofit programme.
