The proton strength distributions of the discrete hole states of Tl-20
7 have been deduced within the framework of the Hole-Core vibrational
scheme. The spectroscopic factors of the low-lying states have been co
mpared with the recent experimental works performed with the help of e
nergetic polarised deuteron beam. The loss of shell-model identities o
f these discrete proton states are explained due to strong mixing of t
he proton hole orbitals with the collective vibrational states of Pb-2
08 core nucleus including the ones arising from the giant resonances.
