Abstract
Tetra[1-(O-ethylphosphatobutyl)]zinc phthalocyanine tetrasodium salt 4 was synthesized from 4-nitro-1,2-dicyanobenzene in six steps. The pot ential of 4 as a sensitizer for photodynamic cancer therapy was demons trated in a mouse tumor model.
