Abstract
A synthetic route starting from diethyl thenylphosphonates offers a fa cile and efficient method for the preparation of new isomeric thienoqu inolines and thienoisoquinolines. Their structure and heteronuclear co nnectivity information was unambiguously established by analysis of NM R data using CH COSY and HMBC techniques.
