Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions of chain halogenated indo dicarbocyanines 2b,c with arylethynes, styrenes and hetarenes afford t he ethynyl, vinyl, and hetaryl derivatives 4. The structure of 4b is c onfirmed by X-ray structure determination.
