An account is given of more recent publications in infectious diseases
in geese. These include viruses (parvo-, adeno-, hepadna-, herpes-, p
oxviruses, but also reo-, ortho- and paramyxoviruses), important bacte
ria (E. coli, Pasteurella multocida and Riemerella anatipestifer), yea
sts and molds (Candida SPP, Aspergillus, Penicillium spp.), and parasi
tes (Coccidia, blood parasites, Cryptosporidium spp., Trichomonas spp.
, and round worms). Diagnostic, prophylactic and therapeutic aspects a
re mentioned and discussed where necessary.
