Abstract
Present State of Research. From 1989 to 1993, a considerable number of skull fragments were again discovered in the Middle Pleistocene sedim ents of Bilzingsleben. They come from the Os frontale, the left and ri ght Os occipitale, the right Os temporale and the Os occipitale. As a comparison with the already present Hominid remains of Bilzingsleben s hows, these latest finds are strongly concordant with the traits of th e Homo erectus species. These objects are described in their associati on with the geological, pelaeontological and cultural appearances of t he horizon.
